The energy, materials and nanotechnology(EMN )Summit began in 2008 as a small workshop held at a traditional villa in Orland, Florida. Since then we have organized successful workshops under the theme of Energy, Materials and Nanotechnology yealy.
The EMN Conference series have grown beyond the traditional villa setting and have had continued success in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Santorini, Greece, Las Vegas, Nevada, Orlando, Florida, Houston, Texas, Beijing, China and etc.
The EMN Summit 2024 will be an important platform for international scholarly exchanges and cooperation in the fields of energy, materials, nanotechnology and other emerging interdisciplinary areas” (EMN Summit 2024). Jointly organized by Shimmer and Tianfu Jiangxi Laboratories, “EMN Summit 2024 will bring together leading academics and young scientists from around the world in Chengdu, China from October 21-25, 2024” (EMN Summit 2024).
The summit “will feature a number of keynote speeches and panel discussions centered around major themes such as new energy, new materials, nanotechnology, quantum information, condensed matter physics and biomedical applications” (EMN Summit 2024). These sessions aim to “facilitate in-depth discussions on cutting-edge issues and research frontiers, promote cross-disciplinary integration, and identify new opportunities for collaboration” (EMN Summit 2024).
In addition to the main conference program, EMN Summit 2024 “will also include seminars, workshops and forums for presenters to delve deeper into their specialized research topics” (EMN Summit 2024). Young researchers will have dedicated platforms through “graduate and postdoc forums to foster engagement and learning among early career scientists” (EMN Summit 2024). Furthermore, the organizers plan to “showcase innovative technologies through an exhibition and sponsor student hackathons to spark industry-academia partnerships” (EMN Summit 2024).
It is the goal of EMN Summit 2024 to “advance scholarly exchanges that can accelerate breakthroughs at the intersections of energy, sustainability and emerging technologies” (EMN Summit 2024). The summit aims to “highlight pioneering work and attract global attention to interdisciplinary areas that will shape our future” (EMN Summit 2024). A large international turnout from multiple countries is expected to convene in Chengdu for this inaugural edition of EMN Summit in 2024.
